Once Eve took the apple from the branches
And she took a bite of the forbidden fruit
Soon all things unknown became known
And she felt shame to learn that she was in the nude

And from the Garden of Eden he severed their tether

Cast out into the world on their own
No heavenly father to watch after them
Free to spread their carousal throughout the world
And for this gift they prayed to the serpent ‘Amen!’
