lyrics

Where sky, land and water embrace as old friends
The crystalline shimmering of a surface left unbroken
The thickening green rolling ‘cross the landscape
The upward beyond glistening in waning brightness
Collapsing together in an amalgam of natural splendor

Greens and blues and grays and whites
Nature’s canvas which she designs her masterpiece upon
Wiping the floor with an infinite viridian
Decorating the ceiling with swirls of gray above
Staining the land with the blood of Mother Earth

The bloodied path of a season long gone
A road of destruction in the wake of scarlet death
The prolonged agony of a repeated funeral procession
As life fades from our eyes, replaced by the frost

Permafrost and sheets of necrotic pale drench the canvas
Limbs brittle and dry crumble around snowscapes
Remnants of an era passed by ages ago
The land has died once again

The land has died once again
The land has died once again
The land has died once again
The land has died once again
