You’ve got a degree so you gotta do what we say
But I worked my whole life and now I live in St. John’s
And I can’t buy any smokes ‘cause I ain’t got a job

How can I afford to get drunk every night
To think about the joke that is my adult life
Spare a dime?
Can’t get enough change to buy a bag of chips
I’m starving for a beer can you give me a little sip?

Got a student loan debt hanging over my head
Gas prices are so high that I can’t even get road head

I want to go outside and find someone to bum a dart

I would hand out resumes but I don’t have a printer

I’ve pawned just about everything I’ve ever owned

Guess that I could go downtown and busk on a street corner
But playing punk rock for money is the last thing I want to do
